(GSE) |
Self-made pure GSE has no natural antimicrobial (preservative) properties and commercial GSE has been identified with contamination from synthetic preservatives.
Banned in Switzerland.

Sodium Benzoate |
In many countries such as Australia and New Zealand Sodium Benzoate is banned in some products.
An eight years study at Sheffield University, found that the preservative seriously damages living cells. "These chemicals have the ability to cause severe damage to DNA in the mitochondria to the point that they totally inactivate it: they knock it out altogether," Prof Piper – Sheffield University.
Can also be found in your car's anti-freeze, as it also inhibits corrosion.

Thought to clog the pores and stop the skin breathing. Studies have shown that Mineral Oil can decrease lung function and lead to some forms of pneumonia.
